La verniciatura di uno yacht di lusso implica un risultato impeccabile che solo anni di esperienza, la giusta preparazione e l’utilizzo di prodotti di alta qualità permettono di ottenere. Da sempre impegnata in interventi di ripristino o verniciatura completa di imbarcazioni ovunque nel mondo, CMM Yacht Service dispone di una propria struttura al coperto dedicata alla verniciatura di barche fino a 30 metri e, grazie ai suoi impianti mobili per il trattamento completo dell’aria (aspirazione e riscaldamento), CMM realizza interventi di verniciatura per imbarcazioni oltre i 40 metri ovunque ve ne sia richiesta.
Attualmente il team CMM, oltre a completare le verniciature delle 3 navette del Gruppo Ferretti (modelli Custom Line 37 e 42 in Liguria - interventi ripresi a seguito della fine del lockdown per contrastare l'epidemia di Covid19), nella struttura di Mondolfo si sta occupando della verniciatura in PPG silver perlato di un Pershing 62 del 2007, giunto dalla Sardegna per un refitting completo durante la stagione invernale.

The painting of a luxury yacht entails a flawless result that is obtained only with years of experience, the proper preparation and the use of high quality products. CMM Yacht Service has in Italy its own indoor facility dedicated to painting boats up to 30 meters. Equipped with mobile air treatment systems, CMM is able to create temporary painting systems for boats over 40 meters across the world.
Currently the CMM team, in addition to completing the painting of the 3 super yacht of the Ferretti Group (Custom Line 37 and 42 models in Liguria - works resumed after the end of the lockdown caused from the Covid19 epidemic), inside Mondolfo shipyard, they are painting a Pershing 62 on 2007 in pearly silver PPG painting (the boat arrived from Sardinia for a complete refitting during the winter season).

Con l'inizio del nuovo anno sono riprese le lavorazioni di verniciatura a bordo dei due modelli del cantiere del Gruppo Ferretti, navetta Custom Line 33 e Custom Line 37, presso i Cantieri Navali di La Spezia.
Le opere di refitting, interrotte per la pausa delle vacanze natalizie, sono nel loro pieno svolgimento. Le squadre di carrozzieri sono impegnate contemporaneamente su entrambe le imbarcazioni; grazie ad una sapiente organizzazione e gestione dei tempi di lavorazione, gli interventi procedono nel rispetto dei processi che la verniciatura richiede, per il raggiungimento di un risultato della massima qualità.
Da un paio di settimane, sono iniziate anche le lavorazioni per la verniciatura di una terza navetta, questa volta un Custom Line 42, presso i Cantieri Navali Genovesi alla Marina Aeroporto di Genova.

The new year has started and also the painting work on board the two models of the Ferretti Group shipyard, Custom Line 33 and Custom Line 37, at the Cantieri Navali di La Spezia.
The refitting works, interrupted for the Christmas holiday break, are in full swing. The CMM teams are engaged simultaneously on both boats, thanks to a wise organization and management of working times. The works proceed with the respect for the processes that painting requires, in order to get a result of the highest quality.
From a couple of weeks, is began the work has of painting on board a third superyacht, Custom Line 42, at the Cantieri Navali Genovesi inside the Genoa Airport Marina.

The works to prepare the super yacht of the Ferretti Group, Custom Line 33 for the important painting job, is proceeding.
An accurately protection procedure has allowed CMM's team to proceed with disassembly, removal of silicones and subsequent polishing, in less time than expected. The polishing operation followed the steps needed with the different paper weights. Once this operation was completed, It will be removed any residues and done a careful cleaning with antisilicon products.
At this point the surface is ready for the application of the gelcoat paint, followed by the various multi-pass sanding cycles, again with the different papers. Once the sanding phase is completed, machine polishing with abrasive pastes and two-component UV ray protection will be performed.

Procede l'intervento di preparazione per l'importante intervento di verniciatura che interesserà il super yacht del cantiere Ferretti Group, Custom Line 33. L'imbarcazione tirata in secca e invernata all'interno della struttura dei Cantieri Navali di La Spezia, è stata completamente coperta e dotata di un impianto di riscaldamento per far fronte alle rigide temperature del periodo.
Un'accurata preparazione e protezione ha permesso ai tecnici di CMM di procedere agli smontaggi, alla rimozione dei siliconi e alla conseguente levigatura, in tempistiche inferiori alle pronosticate. A questo punto la superficie è pronta per l'applicazione della vernice gelcoat, seguita dai vari cicli di levigatura con le carte di diversa grammatura. Una volta completata la fase di levigatura, verrà eseguita la lucidatura a macchina con paste abrasive e la protezione dai raggi UV.

Winter season, refit time, period dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of boats.
CMM is working at the Cantieri Navali of La Spezia, on board of two models of Ferretti Group, Custom Line 33 and Custom Line 37. The intervention will involve the complete repainting in gelcoat of both boats and will involve the teams of technicians up to April.
CMM began life as the first port of call for all of the Ferretti Group’s shipyards (Pershing, Riva, Mochi Craft, Custom Line, Ferretti Yachts and CRN), carrying out the most substantial and challenging refitting projects over the years, in particular complete repainting jobs (gelcoat or paint).
Not only in Italy - In this period there are several workings in Italy but in French Riviera also where CMM has for over 5 years its detachment. At Golfe Juan, near its office in Antibes, CMM is painting a Ferretti 650 and a Riva 76 in Standox paint.
Stagione invernale, stagione di refit, periodo dedicato alla manutenzione e al miglioramento delle imbarcazioni.
Di questo si sta occupando CMM presso i Cantieri Navali di La Spezia, all'opera su due navette modelli Custom Line 33 e Custom Line 37. L'intervento interesserà la completa riverniciatura in gelcoat di entrambe le imbarcazioni e impegnerà le squadre di tecnici fino ad Aprile.
CMM nata come società di riferimento di tutti i cantieri del Gruppo Ferretti (Pershing, Riva, Mochi Craft, Custom Line, Ferretti Yachts, Crn) su questi modelli ha realizzato negli anni i progetti di refitting più rilevanti e impegnativi, concentrando la propria attività sugli interventi di riverniciatura completa (gelcoat o vernice).
Non solo Italia - In questo periodo sono diversi gli interventi in opera e non solo sul territorio nazionale ma anche su quello francese dove CMM ha da oltre 5 anni il suo distaccamento. A Golfe Juan, vicino al proprio ufficio di Antibes, altre due squadre di carrozzieri sono impegnate nella verniciatura di un Ferretti 650, in finitura gelcoat, e di un Perseo 76 in vernice Standox originale Riva.

Painting works in Singapore
Completed the working that involved CMM in Malaysia. This time the team took care of the complete repainting of a Pershing 64 on 2013, a routine for the Master Service Point of the Ferretti Group, but unused at the tropical climate of the place. Singapore, at the same time an island, a city and a state, is located on the Equator and has a warm-humid-rainy climate with temperatures exceeding 38°C and humidity up to 90%. Unfavorable conditions for the carrying out of accurate work as painting is, working which needs cleaning and the right temperatures, main requirements for a good result. However, the difficult environmental conditions did not hinder the team of painters involved in the work and through an effecient air extraction and ventilation system, successfully completed the painting in PPG paint in silver color in less than 3 months.

Completato l’intervento che ha visto impegnata CMM in Malesia. Questa volta il team si è occupato della completa riverniciatura di un Pershing 64 del 2013, intervento di routine per il Master Service Point del Gruppo Ferretti, che questa volta ha dovuto fare i conti con il clima tropicale del luogo. Singapore, che è nello stesso tempo un’isola, una città e uno Stato, si trova in corrispondenza dell’Equatore e presenta un clima caldo-umido-piovoso con temperature che superano i 38°C e picchi di umidità fino al 90%. Ambiente a dir poco sfavorevole per il buon esito di un intervento delicato come la verniciatura che nella pulizia dell’ambiente di lavoro e nel controllo delle temperature pone i principali requisiti per un risultato di qualità. Le difficili condizioni ambientali non hanno comunque ostacolato la squadra di carrozzieri impegnati nella lavorazione, abituati ad intervenire con le proprie attrezzature ovunque ve ne sia necessità e che anche questa volta, tramite un efficace impianto di aspirazione e di aerazione, hanno completato con successo la verniciatura in vernice PPG colore silver in meno di 3 mesi.

Inside the nice location of International Yacht Club in Antibes, CMM organised the first workshop with the main brands of the marine equipment.
Seakeeper, Humphree, Ultramarine, Fluiten e Xenta are the companies chosen for this first appointment.
Paying careful attention to every aspect that may improve their customers' enjoyment and use of their yacht, some years ago it became the official installer for Seakeeper gyro and for Humphree system interceptor and fin. These systems can be installed on newly built boats as well as on older boats of any size and any hull. Over recent years, there has been increased the demand of stabilisers system, so CMM have been involved on yachts between 18 and 40 meters.
In this particular occasion, Seakeeper attended at the event with his demo boat, Axopar 28' with installed a Seakeeper 2. With this new model of gyro, the brand has broadened the possibility to satisfy the shipowner of small boats also: specially designed for boats approximately 27-32 feet, the Seakeeper 2 eliminates up to 95% of boat roll.
Important partnership for his service and maintenance works is the collaboration with Fluiten, years of experience within the sector and presents itself as a qualified partner able to tackle technical issues related to non-standard shipbuilding uses of the mechanical seals. Fluiten offers shipbuilding solutions which include different motor-reduction gear system configurations and different shaft sizes. They are suitable for all types of vessels, in addition to the strict technical specifications as established by ship owners and end customers.
All brand aroused great attention: particular interest for Xenta, a complete set of intuitive controls and seamlessly integrated controls to optimize the maneuverability and performance of each boat. Their modular systems can be used either individually or in combination, enabling a captain respectively to improve the boat’s performance and to provide the ultimate, most exciting and stress-free boating experience.
